People who want to slippery slope and moral panic their way out of treating other humans like humans really really REALLY underestimate the power and sophistication and flexibility of consent as the cornerstone of contemporary sexual ethics.

An ethic of consent says, we want everyone to be as free as humanly possible where sex is concerned. Free of coercion or undue influence from their partner(s), free of societal restrictions on what happens with said partner(s).
