Create a “safe space” on your campus! A space safe for debate, where folks with different opinions talk to each other instead of screaming at each other, where ideas are explored, instead of vilified, where ALL opinions are fair game, where you talk, but also listen!
K, here’s an idea. Have you ever considered that this sort of (classical) liberal discourse may not be ideal or feasible in a situation where an issue is academic or theoretical for one side of the discussion and life or death for the other?
