Anthony Brown is in the sort of more recent class of gospel artists along with the Travis Greenes and all, but his BGV still got some chitlin grease in em. At least some chicken grease.

My favorite joke that I’ve ever come up with that no one I know will ever laugh at is how the farther you go through Kirk Franklin’s career the more bougie his background vocals are. But it’s facts.

The Family was from Oak Cliff Oak Cliff. God’s Property was like honors students at Townview and Skyline and they were all GOING to college. The girls on “Looking for you” were like recent HBCU grads. By Losing My Religion they had like... bought a house in Rowlett. Or Mansfield.
