Chris Brown stans have the same misconception as Tinashe stans where they see an artist whose success does not match their talent, and feel the need to weirdly inflate the talent level since they cannot inflate the success level.

and ofc it's different; CB's success doesn't match his talent due to his own actions (obviously actions influenced by history and context, from his own childhood to *gestures broadly at America, but his actions nonetheless), whereas Tinashe ain't popping bc... idk, marketing?
