If Republicans could give $1.5 trillion in tax cuts to corporations and the wealthiest among us, why can’t we invest a similar amount in a guaranteed jobs plan for regular Americans who are unemployed and willing to work to better their local community?

People willing to work are working. People without a marketable skill set or unwilling to work at jobs they don’t feel like doing are not employed, it’s really that simple.
K but even if that’s true: how are you supposed to acquire a “marketable skill set” while being unemployed and not having enough money...? Also I think you underestimate how quickly technology/globalization/change can make a “marketable” skill set totally useless...
