And it’s very difficult to ignore that they want us to expose members of our coalition to poverty, starvation, cruel and unusual punishment in prisons, forced labor for pennies, and even dearth in exchange for... what? To make them feel like America belongs to them still?
Seems like a pretty big gamble... I imagine electoral reforms would go further towards turning conservatives into meaningful governing partners. But I appreciate your desire to establish some kind of truce. I think any such truce would have to be EXTREMELY broad in scope to work.

But would they even accept that if it were done in an equitable way across identity categories? Or would white men need to be favored in this redistribution of resources for conservatives to view it as fair? But yes, agreed, you have to address income inequality somehow.
