I've always thought August Wilson should be done in rep bc he is so into character archetypes and I feel like with these movies Denzel has the opportunity to effectively do the century cycle in rep. What I wouldn't give to work on that.
(Although I continue to believe Denzel's sincere Christianity will rub up awkwardly against August's homegrown syncretic symbolist post-Christian gumbo religion and sitting mum while that mismatch kills some of August's best moments might kill me.)
