How can America be a moral and decent nation among other nations? Is it possible for America to have a non-imperialist foreign policy? As long as capital moves freely and labor does not... it’s difficult. It’s all very difficult.

Every time I want to tweet about how America is a mess but it has good bones (and rotted floorboards and a bloody foundation), I remember that fixing up America means fixing up an imperialist power that will probably continue to do FAR more harm than good to other nations.
