It’s very interesting to watch the social justice-y left coalesce around ethics as the so-called “religious right” flees ethics. The word “wholesome” is being unironically used to discuss things that the religious right would find blasphemous.
There’s just something interesting to me about how similar contemporary social justice-y language can look to the language of the religious right circa 2003. Which I think is a good thing as contemporary social justice is a lot about effecting an ethical/ideological shift.
