It's mostly sung-through. Cyril, Reynolds, and Alma are the main roles. 5-7 female ensemble members, who are the seamstresses, one of whom doubles as the mother and gets a very very very bizarre duet (with reprises!) with Alma. One male ensemble to play the doctor + any other men
