I need to see a good production of an August Wilson play really bad. Mostly KHII but I know nobody does that one and it’s just my hipster-ass choice like saying Coriolanus is your favorite Shakespeare play (but also KHII is underrated as is all of the back half of the cycle.)
From Seven Guitars on, the work got like... SO DEEP and people really weren’t ready/weren’t on his wave. I really should have gone straight to grad school to write a thesis on the last 5 August Wilson plays.
