For reference, the 3 greatest performances of I Have Nothing, in no particular order, are: 1) The 1994 medley at the AMAs 2) The 1993 performance at Billboard (in the red dress) 3) The 1994 performance in South Africa All are among Whitney’s top 10 live performances period.
Note that the 93 Red Dress Billboard performance includes one of the most ICONIC gestures to a sound board op in the history of amplified music. If I were that board op I probably would have spontaneously ceased to exist on the spot.
