Whereas we expect to be given racist caricature roles that signal oppression w/o being at all interested or curious about actual oppressed black ppl. So we give it a pass bc it is a more "ordinary" kind of racism.
Honestly? The difference is that three billboards should have known better. It's just the disrespect. Many white folks in Hollywood would have known to treat police brutality with more respect.
