I 100% grew up with this (I also had white kids at school calling me Oreo it was wild). I... guess in a perfect world I wish more of us were aware of how it can feel to be too black for the whites and too white for the blacks...

But that is like... so low on the priority list? And if that's the price of having a black culture that aligns or defines itself according to the folks who experience the brunt of racist assault... small price to pay. We'll be alright.

aaaaaaaanyway sooner or later you learn just don't be an asshole and you can get along fine with other non-asshole ppl whether you grew up with the same subset of black culture/black experience or not.
