Realizing that the ur-text for the seductive villain whose defeat is not quite a repudiation is Paradise Lost and that's why it's so easy for me to say Killmonger's defeat is not a repudiation of his ideas.

What is the Satan problem? I tried googling and come up empty. That people are not allowed to disagree with God?

It's a reference to Paradise Lost. Satan is technically the villain, but he's also the most compelling, heroic character, so the reader tends to empathize/identify the most with him. Killmonger is sort of like that, so is Ursula in the Little Mermaid, etc.
