So on Keep It Ira said re: Black Panther "there was no misery in the film" and that is the number one reason black folks responded differently to Black Panther than many other movies about black folks, which tend to be smothered in misery.
also like... probably the best thing I have heard anyone say about Black Panther. There is no misery in it. There is struggle, there is tragedy, there is defeat, but the only misery is Killmonger's backstory. How wonderful to imagine blackness not suffused with misery.
