Language that has historically induced violence against groups of people is never OK. But oppressed ppl who hurt others should generally be "called in" by someone who shares (in broad strokes) their culture and/or experience of oppression rather than "cancelled."
Sigh. "Let ppl from the hood use problematic language" vs "slurs are never OK" is the most tiresome political argument on twitter.

I might choose not to support a person who's experienced oppression and does fucked up stuff. But I also would not encourage others to stop supporting them until it was clear they had heard and ignored attempts to help them improve (e.g. Dave Chappelle, Lena Dunham, etc.)
