The "don't ban guns bc what if we have to defend ourselves agaist the US government" crowd seems objectively wrong to me.

Like... are we envisioning that a) white private citizens keep more of their guns due to racist application of the law, or b) law enforcement and other "legal" gun holders embark on a campaign of racial terror (again)?

In case a) aren't there still enough nonwhite holders of now-illegal weapons to keep any conflicts from being absolute massacres? In case b) aren't there nonwhite police officers/military/etc.?

Also I just feel like if we're at the point of "armed insurgency against the US government/armed assault on nonwhite citizens without legal pretext" there are much bigger problems happening (and fewer guns overall will still help!)
