It’s already represented in everything else. One movie does without and it’s an issue....pic.twitter.com/SGu8kCNtzd

LGBTQ rep still makes up a very small percentage of what people are seeing in series/on the big screen. So when you have a superhero movie bound to break records derived from a comic where Ayo & Aneka had a little romance going on & they chose to exlude that, opportunity missed

If someone were to sit here and say "why go out of their way to purposefully have an "all black" cast or "why were the grammys so black this year" you'd see people be up in arms and telling you black people have been snubbed and looked over for years(1/2)4 replies 46 retweets 627 likes -

Same applies to when people say women are being snubbed and looked over for years. But when it comes to the LGBTQ community they come with the "why is it being shoved down my face you're being represented enough" mess and try to sweep LGBTQ representation under the rug (2/2)

I get what you're saying but no. Look at the bigger picture here. We excited to have something since we as BLACK ppl are treated unequally in every way that actually effects our day to day lives. LGBTQ needs to sit this one out is the consensus of these replies

If that opinion is "gay people should sit down and shut up because this black thing is for straight black people" then no, you can't.
