Your position would be more credible if the flight from our ethical obligations to each other didn’t always dead-end in something hideous and embarrassing like “blacks have the stupid gene!!”
If the choice is between moral obligation (I’d call it “responsibility” but I suppose it’s heavy all the same) and self-deception to numb that responsibility, self-deception so extreme that it requires me to take blatantly counter-factual positions, sign me up for ethics!
