      I find this idea a bit odd. It was never the job of movies 2 celebrate fans, or to service every individual opinion or 2 be mistake free sociopolitically. It feels unfair to the filmmakers for the fans to demand a sociopolitical perfection (will never happen), or shun the picture

      And honestly, why even make this movie if you can't include the one thing that makes it stand out? We already saw the story of straight wizard needs to stop evil nazi wizard. The intersection of that with LGBT themes, IF done well, would be much more interesting to see

      No, but “Super-powerful wizard kicks ass of less powerful but also super-powerful wizard” is boring. “Super-powerful wizard knows he can kick the ass of super-powerful evil wizard, but used to be in love with him and has Feelings” is much much much more interesting.
