So whether we are taught religious fastidiousness or an emotional interaction as righteousness, neither satisfies the desire to live in such a way that we are a help and not a hinderance to our fellow human being.
There is a yearning for righteousness that goes unsatisfied in much of our spiritual and religious practice(s). Righteousness will always improve people's lives.

The satisfaction of such desire, especially in imperial America in 2018, is a fit object for religious and spiritual practice, as surely it would require a divine intervention.
