Shrug. Because Someone Is Wrong On The Internet. I know it's silly. But also idk I think it's good to put basic logic out into the world.

If your platform is acceptance. You should push people to accept that they were made how they were made. And no amount of surgery can change that. People wanna be accepted but done even accept they selves

Oh lord. Now, I went with you as far as “internet arguments are silly.” Now you want to start an internet argument with me that shows you don’t even understand the basic principle I was talking about in the first tweet. Really?

The basic idea is: the gender you are assigned at birth is just that, an assignment, the medical community making an (arguably) good-faith guess at what your gender is and telling everybody that’s what you are. But what the medical community assigns doesn’t dictate your identity.

so like what about what sex you are?

Sex vs gender is, imo, not a very useful distinction. I used gender throughout bc that’s the term we use (“gender identity” “transgender” etc). But AFAIK sex and gender both relate to identity, not what a doctor assigns or a society assumes.

yea afaik you're completely wrong on that part. your sex is biologically distinct based on your physical characteristics. granted there is intersex and hermaphroditism but that's referred to as disorders of sexual developement and is very rare in human cases
