A fair compromise is to expect "identity" politics leaders to have a reasonable critique of capitalism and "leftist" leaders to have a reasonable critique of cishet white patriarchy.
And to be ENTIRELY fair, Bernie Sanders' understanding of identity, woefully insufficient as it is, is probably better than Kamala Harris' critique of capitalism.

on the other hand, when we start talking about activists, to take the most extreme positions, there are good critiques of, say, Deray McKesson, but I am 100% sure his critique of capitalism is superior to the Chapo guys' understanding of so-called identity issues.

And outside of Bernie and maybe Elizabeth Warren, I don't know that Kamala Harris' understanding of how capitalism fails to provide for vulnerable people is any worse than any other major US politician, and it's probably better (ditto for Obama).

And of course that's distinct from a critique of capitalism as an economic system but in terms of providing immediate material benefit for those who are suffering---it has, potentially, some of the same effects.
