Y'all do not understand the extent to which I adore the random pop songs off of Preacher's Wife.
The genius of Whitney's pop appeal was always the struggle between the machine music and her endlessly inventive, authentic vocals. It worked great with 80s pop, but I think it actually would have worked even BETTER with 90s white pop.

Honestly the vision of the Whitney Teenage Dream is like Wordsworth's vision of The Prelude, to me. Like, I just think if that record existed it would instantly and mythically and mystically save America and maybe the world.
