Whatever, I know I shouldn't bother defending the Democratic Party today bc they clearly failed here, but this kind of shit doesn't feel like an attack on the Democratic party, it feels like an attack on the ppl for whom Dems are infinitely better than Republicans.

Also, fuck it, unpopular take: Dems don't hold many cards here, and they're trying to get a halfway decent deal with little leverage and without eroding their generic ballot lead. I hope this wasn't the best they could do, but it ain't the worst.
