That doesn't mean I'm not allowed in on the conversation simply because of my skin color. Progress can't be made unless we all work together. All races, and all people. You could easily flip that logic and say I understand white racism against POC more because I'm white.

hahahahahahaha no you can't dear. Again, even if you make strawberries, if you've never eaten one, you ought to keep that in mind when people are discussing strawberries. Anyway I didn't say you weren't allowed in. I told you how you could participate in a more constructive way.

If I may use your analogy, whole I may not eat strawberries, if I'm a farmer (though not a strawberry farmer as in this analogy that would make me the racist). While I may not be able to tell you how to make strawberries, I might know something about what makes crops grow.

Let’s use this analogy. You are a farmer talking to someone not only about a crop you don’t eat, but one you’ve never known the physical pain of harvesting. You’re talking soil ph to make a bigger fruit, ignorant of the strain of handling it.

Let's skip the analogies. You think I can't understand the complexities of racism simply because I haven't experienced it, correct? That may be true, but that doesn't make my opinions on it any less valid or yours any more.

On racism, it does. Particularly when what you were initially talking about were the merits of racism being used (poorly) as, less than a plot device, character shading that never gets paid off. You might be baffled that would sour anyone to a film, that’s because you don’t know

Just because I haven't experienced it doesn't mean I can't empathize. I actually saw the film. It doesn't forgive the racist character or paint him in a positive light. He's a racist asshole who did a few good things. Does him trying to change make him a good person or redeem...

...him? That's up to the audience to decide. It starts discussion, and if you ask me, the more the topic of race is discussed and brought to the forefront, the more likely we are to find a means to eradicate racism once and for all.

The more race is discussed and brought to the forefront respective of your voice and views, right? Because you're one of the good ones, and not all men, and not all whites, and not all right-thinking members of the dominant culture if you just listen cuz we know plenty bout racis

Oh, this just broke my heart to read. You're just trying to use my race as a way to dismiss my voice. I'm a liberal. I think MRA are missing the point of modern feminism. That said, assuming I'm against you or bigoted because of my sex or skin color is, itself, bigoted.

Okay---are you categorically, a priori, unable to accept the notion that your experiences as a white person limit the validity and usefulness of your opinions on race and racism? Bc if so there's no point in anyone debating you on the subject.
