also if you find objecting to racism "angry" and "annoying"... that's really REALLY bad too. Even if you feel that way, surely you have the good sense and media training not to say it on twitter...

The movie didn't redeem him though. He didn't get his job back and ended the film on a road trip to kill a guy. The movie wasn't saying he's a good guy now in the same way McDormand's character wasn't necessarily in the right. It's meant to be ambiguous and start discussion.

It’s meant to trivialize racism the way you are doing now. Whiteness is telling POCs that racism isn’t a big deal and another way of saying “get over it” because that’s such a small part. Small for who?

Did... Did you read anything I wrote?I didn't say racism isn't a big deal. It's a huge deal. But saying that films can't have morally ambiguous characters with race involved stifles conversation. And personally, I think the more people talk about race and try to understand...

...racism, the more conversations are had, the more likely we are to find solutions to the racism problems plaguing the country. Also, telling someone their opinion isn't valid because they're white is racist.

My telling you that you opinion is trash is just me calling you trash and you noticed I was a POC while doing it. Here’s a Victim Reward:pic.twitter.com/tDayiWJyBd

You really don't understand we're on the same side, do you? YOU mentioned that you're a POC. We're both against racism. Why would you be so hostile towards someone trying to discuss? And since racism still exists, I'd say there's still plenty to learn about how to eradicate it.

oh man, please stop, dude. This is like textbook "bad allyship." Start from the premise that black folks know more than you about anti-black racism in the same way people who eat strawberries know more about strawberries that people who have just seen and smelled them.

Would you, a non-strawberry-eater, argue with a strawberry-eater about the experience of eating strawberries? Probably not, right? Or at least you'd argue from a very humble place, right? You'd ask, not dictate. You'd accept correction, rather than bristling. Try that.

That doesn't mean I'm not allowed in on the conversation simply because of my skin color. Progress can't be made unless we all work together. All races, and all people. You could easily flip that logic and say I understand white racism against POC more because I'm white.

hahahahahahaha no you can't dear. Again, even if you make strawberries, if you've never eaten one, you ought to keep that in mind when people are discussing strawberries. Anyway I didn't say you weren't allowed in. I told you how you could participate in a more constructive way.

If I may use your analogy, whole I may not eat strawberries, if I'm a farmer (though not a strawberry farmer as in this analogy that would make me the racist). While I may not be able to tell you how to make strawberries, I might know something about what makes crops grow.

Also, laughing and rejecting my perspective on your logic when I flipped it around with saying why (and using an analogy that's not really malleable enough to cover racism) definitely discourages conversation. I haven't talked down to you, and would appreciate the same courtesy .
