Timberlake and Taylor are both pursuing the trap aesthetic of sparseness but neither of them understand that the aesthetic is actually harmonic sparseness and rhythmic complexity. Bc white.
But I have a feeling a LOT of Justin's album will be unsuccessful faux-trap/mumblerap sparse. Which is double bad because all of his good impulses are towards lushness and harmonic/melodic complexity, e.g., Mirror, LoveStoned.
