This "disagreement" has consequences for me---like gay-bashing, legalized discrimination, denial of spousal benefits---so it's damn sure gonna have consequences for my "friend" who "disagrees" in the comparatively minor form of us not being as cool as we maybe used to be.
Can someone fundamentally think a core component of who I am and how I live is evil and that not impact our relationship in any way that harms them or makes them uncomfortable? No. Duh.
