In 1991 I bought the cassingle of Whitney singing the Star Spangled Banner at the SuperBowl. Her command of her own genius plus the weight of history&politics would reduce me to a little puddle on the floor with every listen. To this day it's still devastating on so many levels.
Oh it is the greatest anyone has ever sung that song. Ever. No contest, no question.
