I wonder if the alt-right will settle on "he was messy but at least he tried for us" as the narrative of the Trump presidency, or if they'll cite "sources" "in the administration" to make it look competent?

Obviously there will be a bipartisan cottage industry of Tales From The Trump Administration about how monstrously inept everyone and everything was, once 45 is no longer in power (maybe as soon as '19 bc ppl hate him so much) but I wonder how the ethnofascist right will respond.

I think you have it right here: "he was messy but at least he tried for us" Look at how Southerners view the Civil War. 100,000's dead on behalf of a small land owning population (most of whom weren't front line soldiers) all to preserve the myth of White superiority.

Last thought...there is this weird conviction on the part of the 2nd Am. right that all gun crime and mass shootings are carried out by liberals (who...?) or are fakes (Sandyhook). This is the thinking of a cult, obviously.
