I dug for a while and I found a Vehicle Miles Travelled tax that appears to have been vetoed? Which I guess is bad but raising taxes is pretty unpopular in general, so kinda not a shock that they couldn't get an override going on that.

And then I saw where the former D governor, Deval Patrick, wanted to raise income tax and lower sales tax, which seems like a benefit to poor people to me, but the legislature refused to do that, so I guess that's bad but that's Dem infighting not Republicans...

It's mainly that they don't pass legislation in general, unless it's really watered down to the point that everyone votes for it.

The fact that even a state with D supermajorities hasn't passed automatic voter registration is depressing me right now.
