There's a random lecture I listened to that led me to a random poem when I was maybe 15 and in retrospect I think that saved my life.

not that I would be dead without it but like... the relatively happy, stable, secure life I have now, I really might not have.

because over time what I like... took from that poem and the lecture have become such a part of my healthy coping mechanisms.

anyway I figure I'm not the only one who has a few things that like... looking back, without this I don't know how I would have made it. I don't know IF I would have made it. And it's a nice think to think about because it is a surefire trigger for gratitude.

lol that is entirely too personal a question! It is apparently from Robert Louis Stevenson's a Child's Garden of Verse and it is apparently called "Happy Thought" and it is literally two lines long.
