OK tbh I would defend one highly specific and incisive reference to his weight in Cat Person on grounds of a) realism and b) how fatphobia affects men and women differently? But there was too much and I don't like how it made the story unwelcoming for so many ppl.
esp women cause like... fat women have had shitty sex with mediocre men too! We should make more of an effort not to shut ppl out of things with our casual fatphobia or ableism or sexism or racism or homophobia etc etc.
actually /I/ wouldn't defend it out loud bc not my position (and I kinda regret this tweet but w/e nobody reads my twitter) but I would silently support the one incisive reference.
