      ...but it is something men disproportionately do to women. It is something women are socialized to go along with far more than men are. This is not to say that it cannot happen to men but that we live in a society where it is more likely to happen in a worse way to women.

      yes, it can happen to men too, but focusing on the dynamics at a societal level that cause bad thing x to happen way more to marginalized group y is a Good Thing.

      some white folks are in jail way too long for drug-related crimes. Does that mean it is wrong or dismissive of those white people for us to shout about how black people on average get WAY worse sentences?

      some white subgroups were unable to get good home loans because of the FHA which caused them to miss out on some wealth building opportunity. Does that mean it is wrong or dismissive to focus on housing segregation as a black issue?
