Obviously everyone who’s allowed should vote, but why the assumption that felons are more prone to vote democratic?

idk maybe bc one party supports failed mass incarceration policies and private prisons and the death penalty and punitive incarceration and even post-release denial of voting rights and the other party... doesn't?
it's almost as though prisoners are legitimate members of a democratic society who are impacted by government policy and therefore have legitimate interests in affecting those policy decisions!
