Representation (in all senses) = necessary but not sufficient for liberation. I think sometimes we mistake the insufficient for the unnecessary. We have to fight for the necessary to achieve the sufficient.
me too! It's easy to overvalue representation when you're in the representative class. And easy to undervalue material questions when your material problems are hypothetical or second-hand. But we need all of it.
