Thought: would people like Ben Roethlisberger have gotten fired had their allegations come out more recently? My guess: no, and not bc of how much money he's worth---Lauer was worth as much or more---but bc of how much power women have in those audiences.
And Lauer and Roethlisberger are kind of an interesting minimal pair, bc they both can make 20mil+ in a year, both are leaders of major franchises, both straight white men. One goes down almost immediately, the other one sticks around for years. What's different?

Obviously the climate, but I haven't even seen moves to reconsider Roethlisberger in this new climate. And given Lauer, it's probably not the wealth or wealth-generating potential. I think it really just comes down to power.
