I am still so fully astonished by any and everybody who would save their spouse over their child.

For me like... a spouse is important, for sure. But at the end of that day that's a grown adult and I am not responsible for them being fed and clothed and safe. But a CHILD? That reorients your whole life bc your number 1 job IN LIFE becomes keeping that kid okay.

maybe y'all don't feel about kids the way I feel tho. But I feel like if you choose to bring a life into the world, you have literally zero obligations in the whole universe greater than your obligation to that child, unless it's literally to God Almighty.

THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT but then all these ppl came out of the woodwork talking about saving spouses over children and I literally could not process these as actual human thoughts.
