Where liberals shocked by Bush's reelection? I was shocked by Trump for sure, but Bush and Kerry polled neck and neck. I remember being very sad, but not shocked.

I guess the view was different from red America. I forget how politically isolated most people are, so it makes sense that a lot of people would be shocked.

Well I think it was less Trump-in-2016 shock and more like... The Evil Empire Really Won kind of feeling.
