If my people weren't so bougie (or tbh if they hadn't tried so hard to put me in private school) I'd be a rapper now instead of a poet in awkward continuity with the white tradition, but I'd probably also be in jail so.

oh also I'm not saying I would have been in jail bc rapper, I'm saying I would have been in jail bc me. I'm not hot-headed but if I need to hit I hit hard, and I wouldn't have been smart about it as a younger man.
