Rap is the only genre of popular music that's good right now. Rock is dead, electronica got a lobotomy and became "EDM", pop is in a slump, and country was never very good. But rap is better now than it's ever been.

I mean. What do you call Pop vs R&B? Beyonce and Rihanna just made the best albums of their careers, Jazmine Sullivan, Solange, getting into more hipster black vocalists there's Blood Orange, Moses Sumney, Lianne La Havas, Laura Mvula...
OMG and I forgot SZA!! And her album is EVERYTHING. And Frank! (Even tho lowkey Blonde isn't that good...). Yeah R&B is poppin right now.
