to all those handwringing about how indiscriminate our response to assault allegations have become, how high the burden of (dis)proof on this accused, understand this is what happens the formal justice systems fail to produce justice.
Formal, legal justice systems are a fantastic improvement over all other forms of justice because language creates room for nuance. But when the legal system fails...? Justice won't be denied forever. This is mild, comparatively.
