But UGH like could you ask for a clearer example? Y'all: The Root and your Bernie-skeptic black journalist faves are anti-leftist meaning anti-poor. Us: Idk, I think they'd say the same about anybody who denied the centrality of race.
BUT I do think like... y'all can back up off my verified black journalist faves. Y'all ain't notice when they all hit that subtle "you know, having billionaires at all is a political choice" note all the time? Or they share Jacobin articles on the sly?

We just know how to code-switch and foment major change from within problematic institutions cause um... hi, black history.

also like at the end of the day, no shade to the DSA cause y'all be doing good work but like... do you understand 99% of the black public figures y'all slam as neoliberal have a MUCH closer experience of and relation to poverty than your average DSAer?

And that's cause like... damn near 50% of us live in neighborhoods of concentrated poverty! Even the ones with money! And another 30% probably grew up in neighborhoods of concentrated poverty. And yeah, those are the same ones who write for the root and VSB and whatever else.

So once again: trust black folks. When we say "idk smells like racism," do a self-crit or whatever. Even if it's a Bad Neoliberal Black Person. Trust women (especially black women). When they say "idk smells like sexism," take it seriously.

And we should 1000% extend the same courtesy when it comes to class critique... to actual poor people. Or people who have actually experienced poverty. Not middle class post-Occupy Socialists.

Okay I'm going to shut up now I'm just ranting because this has been irritating me for a minute and I don't have anything to do at work today bc I am a parasite labor aristocrat living off of the surplus of the global proletariat. (I'm like 85% serious about that.)
