But that said, obviously you have a broader real point here about "folks who aren't up on the woke shit may be generally harmful in some ways, but are not generally bad and we should have more sympathy for why they think the way they do."

Which I totally agree with! And as with all things it helps to have an actual human who speaks my language breaking down to me how and why real humans think in ways that are irritating to me.
