Like I could see a situation where Donald walks into 2020 with bad Russia stuff and some truly odious pardons and is an objective political liability.

it would probably take bad polling of that magnitude but I don't think it's impossible. Or like... approval among Rs in the 50s or 60s.

And then I could ABSOLUTELY see the NY AG still prosecuting him for shady business dealings revealed during the course of the Mueller investigation.

Like the worst-case scenario for Donald is really low probability but it is a) not impossible and b) really bad and ends with Trumpism disgraced, Trump in jail, and liberalism triumphant.

but I cannot deny it would be monstrously emotionally satisfying. Like a modern head-on-the-castle-walls situation. I'm not above enjoying that, as long as there are no ACTUAL heads.
