shrug. Trans people don't experience a difference between gender and sex, I don't think. And so-called "biological sex" was already troubled before it began.
Not every person with two "X" chromosomes is gendered female by our society. Not everyone with two "Y" chromosomes is gendered male. If we can decouple them for the sake of maintaining the gender binary...

why can't we shift our language to recognize a trans person in a way that will make them happier and fit with their actual experience/life? What does it cost us?
