Also not talking abt non-cis ppl, who IME tend to get sexuality better, but abt cis folks who at least say the right things abt gender but can't apply the same logic to sexuality. Like... huh?

shrug. Trans people don't experience a difference between gender and sex, I don't think. And so-called "biological sex" was already troubled before it began.

Not every person with two "X" chromosomes is gendered female by our society. Not everyone with two "Y" chromosomes is gendered male. If we can decouple them for the sake of maintaining the gender binary...

I don't see why you wouldn't celebrate! I assume your family member who is transgender is much happier being themselves than the alternative. Ditto for your gay and bi family. What's not to celebrate about that?
