Instead we need a politics that is about building power for the marginalized so that the bad ideas don't have hegemonic power to make marginalized ppl's lives miserable.

The "we will replace you" narrative is part of what is making American politics so dysfunctional. It's more about: we will get our fair share. I don't want them to have nothing---I just want us to have enough.
